Started in 1979, the relaunched Southern Ionian Regatta has become a key event for the Ionian sailing community, offering a great couple of days of racing for those of all levels. The 2025 event was a huge success, and we are looking forward to 2026 with a provisional date of the 16th and 17th of September. There will be a feeder race on the first day and a main event on the second, culminating in a huge party in Syvota (Lefkada) with live music and prizes from the 2 days of racing. The racing itself is run on handicap for yachts of all types, with prizes for those throughout the fleet. Quite simply, it’s a whole lot of fun for all involved!

how to enter
To enter your yacht in the regatta register your interest on the form below and your entry will be confirmed on receipt of the entry fee. The entry fee is €35 for both races, €15 for the feeder race and €25 for the main race (plus £5 extra for on the day entry). If you are looking for crew or would like a boat to sail we will provide opportunities for this through whatsapp and facebook soon. We still have t-shirts available for the 2025 regatta in a range of amazing colours at Vliho Yacht Club. These are priced at €18 each with proceeds going towards the regatta and local charities.
